Wrangle and Wrangle Narrows , Petersburg, arrive Juneau

The reason we had a half day in Ketchikan was to allow the tide to rise enough to take the “short cut” between the villages of Wrangle and Petersburg. After walking around the cute little village of Wrangle for about a half hour, hopped back on the ferry for the trip through the Wrangle Narrows. Very interesting to watch the ferry squeeze through a channel that was barely double the width of the ship at places. Got dark before Petersburg so we went to bed. Woke up early, arrived Juneau at 6:30am on Monday. Took a shuttle downtown and were able to check in our hotel about 8am! In Alaska we are four hours behind eastern time. It's taken a while to get oriented. We now eat at the proper times but tend to get up early and go to bed early.
