Yellowstone

We headed north from the “Terrible Tetons” to “Yucky Yellowstone” on Tuesday. That's what Kimberly teasingly called them about 20 years ago. In her early artistic era, she actually drew a picture of a little kid passed out on a boardwalk from the sulfur smells of the geysers. She did teach us the proper (girl scout) method of building a campfire. Temperature wise 30s-40s in overnite but quickly warming up with the sun to 70s-80s. Think of the most perfect fall days in Virginia.

We departed Tetons about 7:30am but after arriving at new Grant Village campsite and setting up, we kinda didn't beat the crowds. Finding a parking spot in a Geyser Basin about Noon can be very frustrating. Departing at sunrise on Wednesday

Lots of water falls and fast moving rapids.

Buffalo jams are common in certain areas of the park. There was a motorcycle in front of us who was getting nervous with the approaching beast.
