Kimberly and Patrick's House

With help from our designer daughter, we have created an ongoing blog to reflect a lot of what we do: Barbeque, Bluegrass and Blacktop. While Debby often smokes up some of the best BBQ around, we're always seeking out good BBQ locally and around the country.

We do like to attend a lot of music festivals, most likely Bluegrass with a blend of Rock'in Grass, blues and country. And we like to travel around Virginia and occasionally farther.

Might mention that we've also been busy visiting the kids. Kimberly and Patrick purchased a 1936 colonial in a very nice Richmond neighborhood, but a house that needs a lot of work. We've spent about two weeks helping, working inside and out. Head over to their blog to see the house (www.lloydsplayinghouse.tumblr.com). And we like to see AJ and dad/mom Andy and Mackenzie when we can. Debby spent the better part of a week babysitting in June.

Also, don't have pictures since the camera isn't waterproof, but Jeff was able to get in five whitewater kayak trips (John's Creek, Roanoke River, and Maury River) during May/June before the water dropped to summer levels. Debby sticks to flatwater paddling!
